i'd argue that quoting pop. culture in the courtroom is not exactly something i'd stand up and cheer about, rather frightening actually; it might, to some, be 'cool', but it sure as shit ain't kosher

A judge here in Maryland quoted The Pretenders' Brass in Pocket lyrics "been driving, Detroit leaning" to rule that a traffic stop and vehicle search made by Baltimore police violated the drivers' rights, because the reasoning for the stop was because he was leaning while driving.
